Battle Hunter "80s Memory" [METAL COVER] - ToxicxEternity (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of the absolutely jamming "80's memory" theme from Battle Hunter for ps1 requested by Wence!

This soundtrack has so many absolute bangers. This theme is definitely one of them! The OST generall has a super metal feel and this theme is all about that slow grindy metal feel. This gave me a ton of ideas for riffs right off the bat and I definitely wanted to keep it true to the original on the rhythm side.

With themes like this though, there's so much potential to improve on what's already there just in terms of making it sound like a real metal band jamming. I put a TON of time into the drums to try and make them sound as lively and awesome as possible. And I let the rhythm guitars jam out and almost take a back seat to that. The melodies as well I got to do a lot of experimentation on adding in some harmonies and counter melodies.

The solo was insanely fun as well. Doing those triplet-style solos lets you get really expressive and I got to get super melodic here which I'm always happy to do.
