Hey everyone! Here is the full video for my metal cover of Mega Man ZX's "Green Grass Gradiation" theme!
When I first got the request in for this song, I was immediately SUPER stoked. This theme comes in and absolutely kicks you in the butt the second it drops. I immediately knew it was going to make an amazing metal arrangement. I instantly knew I wanted to retain the amazing synths of the original as well so my mission here would be to combine the synths with some crushing metal guitars.
Arrangement wise, I tried to keep it as ballsy and straight forward as I could. It has a lot of elements of trance / eurobeat style where you want the drop to just hit you hard. So I tried to be careful about not letting the desire for technical stuff get in the way of the driving nature of the theme.
That being said, I couldn't resist putting in a brutal breakdown for the second verse. That way it feels a bit more metal towards the second half of the song and feels like it's evolving.
