Hey  everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of K.K. Metal!

Rhythms:

Style - thrash metal, fast alternate picking, technical riffage

Difficulty - 3/5

Our rhythm parts here are interesting. The notes themselves aren't terribly insane but the challenge with this arrangement comes from the raw speed. You will definitely be putting your alternate picking to the test and it's a great way to improve speed as well!

We begin with some big open chords leading up into our break. The break has some really quick rhythm palm mutes and it's definitely more focused around the lead harmonies here.

We then finally break into our main riff which is that iconic thrash metal guitar riff. this is where the alternate picking will kick in and I'd definitely recommending taking this part slow if you're new to picking fast. It's a great riff to work on but you can't push it to where it's sloppy.

We then go into our verse riff which is a very technical riff and will be the most challenging riff for your fretting hand easily. The picking is at least a bit more chill here and you can focus on getting the hammer-ons and pull offs.

The finally we have our chorus riff which is very similar to our first main riff only with some more melodic chords here.

Leads:

Style - hammer on's / pull offs. Power metal

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads, I'd say, are slightly easier than our rhythms but it still has the dynamic of being insanely fast. If you slow these parts down, you'll have a great time with them if you're a newer player!

We begin with some melodic lines going into our first break. The break section is easily the most technical part of the lead guitars on this arrangement. The harmonies here are all about the hammer on's and pull offs. Pay attention to how the picking pattern is here and focus on getting it super clean at a slow speed! Stuff like this is amazing for learning to shred fast.

We then fast forward into half-way through our verse riff then we introduce some big open chords over our technical verse riff.

Now we have our chorus which is straight lightning fast alternate picking on the G string with some technical fretwork to match. I'd only say this is easier than the break in that every note is on the G string so you can just shred that one string and try to get it super clean.

That's about it! If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up on here or discord!
