Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI for my metal cover of Perfect Dark's "Datadyne Central Extraction" theme!

Rhythms:

Style - fast picking

Difficulty - 3/5

Our rhythms here start off super straight forward but they pick up a lot of steam half way into the arrangement.

We begin with some big open chords and then our left guitar begins the main riff but at a slower speed starting off during the heavy riff.

We then do some beefy chugs during the break to get ready for the chaos to begin.

When the Datadyne X theme kicks in, we go right into our thrash riff that will be all alternate picking and some precise palm muting parts. Take this part slow if you're new to alternate picking and palm muting!

We then end it with our chorus riff which is a tad more challenging on the fretting hand with some quick hammer on's / pull offs.

Leads:

Style - legato, palm muting

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads here cover a wide spectrum of challenge but overall they're very straight forward and good for newer lead players!

We begin with a challenging lick starting off going into our main motif. The main intro riff here is super straight forward and all palm muted. It repeats a handful of times and moves up an octave at the end.

We then go into our break which has a more challenging lead part but it's still super fun and very do-able if you start slow!

We then go into our double-speed half way through where we play the intro lead but way faster now.

Then we play some texture leads on top of our pounding rhythms for the majority of this main heavy fast riff.

Now we enter our chorus where we play a very Kirkhope-like melody here that utilizes some legato playing.

And finally our solo; we begin with a pentatonic lick going downwards. We then go back up in a really stretchy and fun C# minor lick and end it with a sweep at the end of this lick.

for the second half of the solo, we do a SUPER crazy whole-tone lick going down the neck and end it with some absurdly fast shreds and tapping to wrap it all up.

That's about it! If you have any questions on anything, feel free to message me on here or Discord.

Rock on!

~ Jack
