Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI for my cover of NieR: Automata's "City Ruins" theme.

Rhythms:

Style - big open chords, acoustic guitars

Difficulty - 2/5

The rhythms take a backseat here and play some big chords. The main thing here is the acoustic guitars that do some very complex progressions  especially on the acoustic guitar 2 track! Take this slow and make sure you're fretting every note and letting everything ring out clearly!

Leads:

Style - melodic

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads here cover a wide spectrum of difficulties from super easy and fun to very complex.

We begin with the intro melody which is easy to play but the progression itself is a bit wacky with the way the notes are laid out. It will probably take a minute to memorize the progression but it sounds awesome once you get it.

When the metal guitar  comes in, we play the riff an octave lower and this is one of the trickier parts of the song. It's a bit wide and stretchy and we even do some string skipping here. So take this slow!

Now for our verse, we play the main vocal melody and this part is super easy and sounds amazing. This is great for newer players looking to learn some leads!

Now for our chorus, we play some octave melodies here jumping up and down the fret board. It's at a slow speed so it's a great thing for newer players just like the verse melody.

Now for our solo, we begin with a legato lick going down into the next section. For the second section, we do some blistering fast alternate picking and prepare for the sweeps.

For the sweeps, we do some big 5 string sweeps with some tapping included. This is definitely insanely hard but it's super fun once you get it!

That's about it! I hope you enjoy learning some of these riffs and licks, let me know if you have any questions!
