Hey everyone! Here is the full video for my metal cover of the amazing "Dr. Wily Stage 2" theme from Mega Man 3!

This is truly an amazing theme. The early Mega Man games were so ahead of their time with the music. The themes were epic, and super metal!

I wanted to go into this theme being very respectful and faithful to what makes it jam so hard on the original. There's a lot of really interesting chord's and melodies at work that make it feel so epic so I definitely had to learn those parts and execute them perfectly. But once I figured that out, I couldn't resist letting loose and doing some fun lead guitar over the awesome theme. I also threw a fat breakdown in there for good measure ;)

I had such a blast working on this awesome theme and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Let me know what you think!

I was so happy and amazed by the positive response that I got on Spark Mandrill that I felt that we should continue making some epic Mega Man covers! This theme is absolutely amazing. It's from the old school Mega Man 3 game which has objectively some of the best music in the entire series. Mega Man 2 and 3 are probably some of my favorite ost's of all time. I really wanted to go into this arrangement just straight jamming. I didn't want to change too much; as the original theme works so flawlessly compositionally. Instead, I wanted to ride with the elements of the original but have a ton of fun with it on my guitar. You can hear me let loose on the lead guitar and really enjoy some shred moments on this awesome theme.
