Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of World of Warcraft's "The Shaping of the World" theme!

Overall this theme is insanely epic sounding and is great for beginner players with it's simple yet super melodic lead parts.

Rhythms:

Style - tight palm muting, big epic chords

Difficulty - 2/5

Our rhythms here have little bursts of tricky picking but overall the fretting hand isn't doing anything super crazy. The thing to look out for here is the little 16th note gallops on the main riff and also the down picking during the chorus part. Other than that, it's a ton of fun and very head-bangable!

Leads:

Style - melodic, tight percussive

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads here are also super straight forward and a ton of fun! We start off with our harmonies playing some very tight percussive harmony parts and then we go into our big epic main riff where our center lead starts to play some trickier stuff on that main strings melody.

We then have our break where our awesome melody comes in and this is a great melody for newer players as it's super straight forward and super fun.

We then modulate it down a step and play relatively the same melody but our center lead then takes on some super technical arpeggios that are picked which is one of the hardest parts of the song.

Our solo is extremely melodic and is definitely very challenging. The tapping part in particular will take some extreme slow repetition to get down but it's a ton of fun!

That's about it! If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message on here or on my discord server.

Rock on!

~ Jack
