Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track and MIDI for my metal cover of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon's "Musical Castle 2" theme! We have some super fun but definitely some technical riffage and melodies in here. Let's break them down!

Rhythms:

Style - fast down-picking

Difficulty - 4/5

Our rhythms here are all about the super fast down picking very similar to the kind of riffs you'd hear on Master of Puppets or other awesome thrash songs. You could play these riffs with alternate picking but there's a certain awesome sound that you get with down strokes that makes it extra rad. But If you find it to be un-playable at this speed, then feel free to upstroke it and it'll work as well.

We begin with our main riff which is straight 4th fret down picking then we go into our verse.

Our verse adds a few colorful chords onto our 4th fret E pedaling. again, just all about the brutal down strokes.

for our pre-chorus, we move it up to the F sharp key on the 6th fret, keeping it simple here.

Then we have our pre-chorus cont which introduces a 7 on 4 poly-rhythm and some cool articulate single-note riffage.

Finally for our chorus, we give our right hand a break and play some big open chords to let it open up a bit!

Leads:

Style - chords in melodies, pedaling

Difficulty - 4/5

Our leads here are also pretty technical but they're totally doable at lower speeds if you find it hard at full-speed! And they're a ton of fun.

We begin with some fat chords on our main riff going into our verse.  (right before the verse we have a lightning-fast tapping lick that skips strings. This is definitely a hard lick to pull off but it's a ton of fun if you're looking to get into some serious tapping.)

Our verse melody is a harmony on 2 center lead tracks that plays a super fun melody. Nothing particularly crazy here, just some really fun melodic playing at relatively high speeds.

We then go into our pre-chorus with is another really fun melody with some harmony pedal tones under it.

Finally for our chorus, we do a complex chord-based melody that's one of the harder parts of the song just due to its chordal nature. It makes it sound super cool,as chords though so it's worth doing t that way I think!

We then finally have our solo which starts off with a tasty bend going down some arpeggios. We then do a John Petrucci-style sliding melody and ending it with some alternate picked triplet-feel phrases.

That's about it! IF you have any questions on any of these riffs and licks, fee free to send me a message on here or on my discord server.

Thanks and have fun!!
