Shovel Knight LA DANSE MACABRE || Metal Cover (Patreon)

This theme has got to be the most catchy SK theme in the entire game. that main melody has always been stuck in my head since I first played the game and I knew the second I first entered that level, that I'd have to absolutely slay a metal cover of this theme.
I wanted to go straight up late 2000's metal-core on this arrangement and really let the rhythm guitars play a big role. The original theme has this beautiful minor 6th to tonic progression for the chorus that made me feel so at home when writing some riffs for it. And for the leads, oh boy, those are some TASTY melodies and I had so much fun arranging those as well.
Since this is Shovel Knight though, I definitely was ready for a challenge with learning some of these melodies. Kaufman's writing style is so unique and it really takes me far out of my comfort zone but in a good way of course. His bridge sections in particular are always so insanely crazy on the originals and I always know that's going to be a huge shreddy moment in my arrangement. I feel like I absolutely slayed it though and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Let me know if you enjoyed it!
