Hey guys! Here is the completed video for my cover of Sonic's "Green Hill Zone" featuring my main man Adam King from Singularity (the band we both play in). This awesome theme was requested by Chris T. G!

This is definitely one of those "how have I not covered this before" themes where it's taken me soooo long to do it. But I kind of love that because it means I can be at a certain skill level when I do these super nostalgic-to-me themes!

I wanted to keep the arrangement very true to the original but what's so beautiful about this theme is that it has so much shredding and improvisation potential without really penetrating the soul of the arrangement. It's so open ended that you can really do anything within it which made it a ton of fun. I played a lot of improvised lead lines across the arrangement ;) ;)

I wanted to have my bassist Adam come in on this track because this particular theme is something that we both have a cool memory of. We were hanging out at his house during a house party a few years ago and I had an acoustic guitar in my hands. He was like "dude. do you know green hill zone?" So I played it and he was instantly so nostalgic and we had a huge brotherly love moment there. So when I was doing this arrangement, I felt that I HAD to hit him up and have him be a part of it.

Adam's bass playing is insane on this track, he uses his fingers and plays super tight which made me really want to crank the bass and give it a huge beefy tone. I love how it turned out and I hope oyu guys do as well! Let me know what you think!!

Thanks so much for supporting my video game metal, I really can't thank you guys enough for the amazing support!

G. Hey guys! It's time to jump into another one of those "Why did it take me so long to do this?!" themes! Green Hill Zone is one of the most iconic VGM's of all times. It's place in video game history as that first moment of experiencing Sonic the Hedgehog and all of his speedy glory. I remember playing it for the first time when I was like 5 years old and I won't ever forget those moments. Waaayy faster than Mario that's for sure haha. I decided I wanted to include my musical brother and bandmate in my band Singularity for this track. This is because we have some fond memories of playing this theme on his acoustic at a house party a while back. It led us to reminisce about being a kid and it is a really nice memory. I knew I couldn't do this track without hitting him up to lay down some bass! And speaking of bass, he absolutely killed it on the bass and I'm super happy with how it sounds! I put a lot of TLC into the mixing for the bass for this special occasion. I hope you guys enjoy this cover as much as we enjoyed making it! and thanks Chris for the awesome request!! ➤ Follow me! http://www.facebook.com/toxicxeternity http://www.twitter.com/toxicxeternity http://www.instagram.com/toxicxeternity http://www.twitch.tv/toxicxeternity ➤ Join the ToxicxEternity Discord Server! https://discord.gg/27jAb2j ➤ The original "Green Hill Zone" theme from the game "Little Big Planet 2" was composed by Masato Nakamura ➤ Looking to start making covers?
