T-Minus Two Weeks! (Patreon)

I have some exciting news that I would love to share with you all. This is sort of a big deal to me, actually scratch that. It's everything to me. It's a bit of a long story, so how about we get a little personal with this post and start from the beginning.
Back in the worst winter Boston has ever seen I moved into the city for my first studio gig. A branding studio right on the harbor that mainly works with Hasbro in creating branding images for properties such as Star Wars, Transformers, and Jurrasic World. This was my first studio position, and it felt like I had caught my big break.
Funny enough one month later my old friend Omni had something sort of amazing happen to him with what we all know as the "Rayman leak". Days later we caught up. We discussed our own personal goals over facebook message. It was a thrill talking to someone that had so much motivation, the same kind I pride myself for holding. We stayed up nearly all that night talking about Smashified, and where to go with it.
While he was down in South Carolina working away at several jobs, I was here working with some of the most impressive artists I'd ever had an opportunity to meet. Weeks passed, then months, now it's been a solid 20 months here.
A lot had happened in that time. I've made new friends that I know I will have until the day I die. Lost those that meant so much to me. I've seen the best and the worst in people. It's been a part of my life I'll surely never forget.
But all the while I was here, Smashified was still in my head. Like a reminder that theres this incredible team of individuals with extraordinary skill sets just so eager to make content. What a dream. So all this time in Boston, working towards someone else's project, and someone else's ideas, I couldn't stop thinking about Smashified. What it is, where it can go, and what it meant to me.
The idea to work on the Smashified team full time had been floating around everyones mind's. It's why we started Patreon in the first place, why we went to Super Smash Con, and why we work as hard as we do. It was a fun idea, but it always seemed to stay just that: an idea.
Well after a lot of thought, consideration, and second guessing myself, I'm happy to announce that I'm putting in my 2 weeks at my comfy studio job in Boston. Star Wars no more. It's time to spend every day on this team, and where we want to go. Yes. It's risky. It's a scary thought to most who have heard about it. But life only gives you so many opportunities to be the person you want, and live the way you want. I can't let that pass me by every day anymore.
So two weeks from tomorrow I will be officially unemployed. I'm making a promise to you all right now that my devotion to this team will be stronger than ever. I'm currently rallying the team to make more of this situation. We're exploring new ideas and avenues. If there is anything you can do to support our team, I can't express enough how much it'd mean to us all. Whether it be financial assistance, or just a good conversation. Every bit has gotten us to where we are and helped to inform where we're going.
Two weeks and I'm all yours. Lets make this into everything we first saw it to be, in terms of potential. Love you all, and I can't thank you enough.
