Note on the third option: I'd also be reaching out to the author of Becoming Cliterate to correct the misinformation once the project is finished. I think she'd be really receptive if I can get ahold of her, and hopefully strengthen the discourse around sexuality in feminist circles (the myth in question appears to have been taken and passed down in feminist books on sexuality).
