As a trans person, while I feel uncomfortable engaging with any of her work myself, I think "supporting" someone like JK Rowling by still purchasing her art, ultimately doesn't matter, because any dollar you spend, or do not spend on her, makes virtually no difference to the massive amount of wealth she's already accrued. Morally, I'm not sure if there's a right or wrong answer to this. In some circumstances, where other artists have done or said reprehensible things, I've still been able to separate the artist from the art. I really think it all comes to how you see it personally. I can't engage with Rowling because I can't get over the fact that I know she literally defies my existence. But if you personally enjoy her art, I think it's fair to separate it from the artist. Especially when she's already grossly rich.
