uhhh, in a way I guess? It's more like a curation of art than a creation. it's a collective of songs that represent me and my life in the last few months so I guess it could definitely be art. But art is subjective, right? So it's really what you take away from it. To someone my playlists could be nothing more than a shitty patreon reward that means nothing, and to others it could be a life changing collection of songs. it's what you make of it. does that make sense?

its a big mix actually. i find a lot of my favorite songs from harry (the eldest of the tucker bros and my roommate). he always has great songs to show me which lead me down rabbit holes of tunes. also I find a lot of music through spotify discover. after using spotify for about 7-8 years it's gotten to know my tastes pretty well so it recommends stuff i really enjoy. also youtube recommended is great for finding new stuff. back in college I would use a mix of friends and also 4chan's /mu/ board but not anymore bc it's mainly kids fighting over liking death grips more etc etc lmao

shoegaze was my fav genre for a very long time. my bloody valentine is still my all time fav artist so I guess that says a lot. in college I was seriously into japanese shoegaze. shoegaze is such an amazing genre. i've actually made a bit myself but idk where it would fit in with other music I've been producing so idk if it'll come out

i love his career arc. i found him when I was a senior in highschool and followed his videos for a while until I was in college. after starting supermega, me and ryan got to meet him at a party for a bit. this was right before he ditched ff and fully embraced joji. doubt he remembers us or knows who we are but he seemed chill. love his music now and would love to work w him one day. he's kinda the poster child of transitioning a YT career to something else which is something I'd like to do someday.

YES! I saw them live a while back and it was a truly transcending experience. the most memorable part was when they did a sound wall. they basically just played their instruments as loud as they could for ten minutes straight. the lights were flashing and the sound waves were so loud and intense the hairs on my arms were vibrating. it was like pure euphoria, I can't even describe it. after a few minutes reality melts away and you just become swallowed by the sound. 10/10

yeah! I've dabbled with FL, Ableton, Garageband, and Logic. Overall I have found logic to be the best for me. I LOVE logic and can make anything I want in it. DAWs are all about your personal taste though. experiment around and find which one is best for you. There's no wrong answer.

Adams Song is fire! Matt it's just so weird, I found supermega about six months ago when I was looking for podcasts to listen to at work, and I started with the episodes with Arin and or Dan because I knew them, but then you guys grew on me and I started at #1. When I found SuperMega it was a difficult time in my life. My parents (as well as family and entire community) are crazy Mormon, you've talked about Mormonism on the podcast a couple times so I assume you know the gist of what it is, but as a Mormon boy you are expected to leave and teach the gospel for 2 years when you turn 18, (the door to door people asking you to read their book of Mormon) I fell out of the church a couple years prior to me turning 18, and now that I had become 18 it was my turn to go on this mission, my family had always been pressuring me to since I was a kid. If you talked to my parents you'd think it was the reason for me being born. I was supposed to go in December of 2019 and I had never told my family that I wasn't interested because I was so afraid of the disappointment. Around this time is when I found the supermegacast. I'd listen to it all day back to back through my daily 8 hour shifts (trying to save up for college😬) and honestly, you guys made life bearable. Working at that supermarket became my second home and I loved getting to binge the podcast, all in all it just helped me feel safer and happy. You gave me security during a scary rough patch in my life. I have since caught up with the podcast (ugh!) And have moved out of my parents house after the constant tears and fighting over me not going on a mission. I even recently got YouTube premium so I can listen to your videos with my phone off😂 Anyway, in a time of my life where I felt isolated from my family and friends, scared and anxious constantly, and even sometimes considering suicide, you were one of the hands I could hold on to. I love you guys so much. You've helped me come out of that period of my life stronger than ever, not to mention made work enjoyableXD. These days I am still working like fucking crazy, I have notifications on for the podcast and YouTube, and I am one of the first people to see every one of your tweets (you stay up mad late every night btw) and I'm happier then I have ever been. I left that cult and it was the best choice I could have made for myself. And you answering my comment just now fillede with so much excitement. It's crazy how much a couple dudes making fart jokes and playing games can change a guys life. And to think that just now, me and Matt Watson from SuperMegas lives just crossed paths is incredible.
