There are so many events in Coppola's early life that had a direct impact on the making of Apocalypse Now. I think it will be really interesting to go back and re-watch this episode after the series is complete to see how much of an impact different events had on shaping Apocalypse Now. An example would be how Marlon Brando worked on The Godfather for very little money and then agreed to appear in Apocalypse Now for an insane price. More soon!
