Hi everybody! I was hoping to release this video along with a special 100k subscribers celebration video, but a few things have delayed it a bit -- I'm moving in two days! :0

As many of you know, I've been working for over a year on developing a new shorter series called CinemaTyler Show. Well, it's finally time to launch! This is the first official CinemaTyler Show episode. This one is a little more on the 'lighter' side. I've been obsessed with this wig since I first saw it years ago. Whenever anyone comes to visit me in New York, I always take them to the mohawk first.

The next episode (which I've already shot) will be a more in-depth story on the production of Tarkovsky's Stalker!

I've been working on several things at once and I'm so nervous/excited to share it with you! I'll most likely sit on it and wait to publish to YouTube once I'm all moved and the 100K Subs video is done.

Hope you like it!

Thanks so much for your continued support!

BONUS FOR PATRONS: Tutorial: How to make a terrible mohawk wig... https://bit.ly/2KdYZDU Support this channel on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cinematyler One of the most famous moments in Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver is that camera move to reveal that Travis Bickle-- a man who is slowly losing it, a man who would not take it anymore-- has shaved his head into a psycho mohawk. But did you know that this was actually a wig and you can go visit it? The wig was made by legendary make-up artist Dick Smith. I'd never realized it was a wig until I first saw it in person at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York. So let’s pay our respects to this magnificent relic in the church of cinema...
