It was noon and Zelda was resting against a tree near the Wetland Stable, her nearly 320 pound body sinking into the soft earth but the formerly athletic princess couldn't be bothered to move. She sat there watching Link excitedly put ingredients he found into the stable's cooking pot.

Ever since the defeat of Calamity Ganon, she and Link had been traveling Hyrule together. However, while Zelda was enthralled by the new world, Link had already explored it and busied himself with other hobbies. During his adventure, Link had become something of a chef and he was frequently experimenting with making new kinds of meals. It felt like everywhere they went, he was searching every nook and cranny for new ingredients to test out. He offered everything he made to Zelda and asked her for her opinion and she happily ate whatever he presented her and gave them all five stars.

However, it wasn't long before her calorie input outclassed the exercise she received traveling and she put on weight quickly. Her curious head was stifled by a thick, wobbling double chin, her royal rump went from pleasantly plump to jiggling and quaking with every step, and her formerly well toned thighs was now chafing from the chub rub of hiking all the time. Her increased belly and bust size put her belt and shirt buttons to the breaking point and she had to ask Purah for special, extra durable Sheikah clothes to avoid any embarrassing rips and tears and had to visit Great Fairy twice to reinforce their strength. Her obesity also hampered her exploration of Hyrule as now she frequently had to take breaks and Link's poor horses were quickly exhausted from trying to carry her regal girth. Despite all this, Zelda continued to eat all of Link's dishes to maintain her hero's happiness and to sate her own developing gluttony.

Soon Link finished his newest dish and it seems that he'd had screwed it up. The dish should have been bright and colorful but was instead a sickly green and uncomfortably mushy in texture. But still, the proud look on his face and her own growling, demanding belly made her scarf it down without hesitation or regard for taste and she told Link that it was his best dish yet.
