On The Subject Of The Polls (Patreon)

I've been going over it a lot and I think the polls need to be suspended entirely for a while. The patreon is supposed to be a chance for me to finish and post comics. My goal has always been One Comic Page per moth plus more depending on support. So, for example, it should be two comic pages per month right now plus illustrations and any commissions or art projects I worked on.

But for various reasons the polls keep being a constant source of stress and burnout. They have effectively taken over the patreon and have genuinely made it harder for me to work on the patreon content I wanted to do in the first place.

A lot of people complain that the same subjects consistently win polls making more diverse or interesting ideas less likely to come up and yeah that also means I keep having to draw variations of the same thing over and over while trying to figure out how to add complexity to make it more interesting and that's definitely why its taking up so much brain space and causing so much burnout.

So. Every past poll winner is still on my worklist. I am still going to to try and get to them. But for the time being at least: No new polls. it's been such a contributing factor to the patron content just being lacking and its definitely a major reason why my productivity has slowed tremendously over the past couple of years.

Sorry to everyone who enjoyed them and I understand this is disappointing. but  considering the polls were slowly driving me to draw less and less, it also means that more and more often poll winners would just not see their submission finished.

So again: I still have the list of past winners and I am still going to make them obligations to complete. But I will not be adding any more to that particular pile. At least not for now.
