March is a Month (Patreon)

Considering I did better last month than I have in a while; I am hoping I can continue the trend upwards to get back to my normal level of workflow. A few considerations for mental health and putting some things in the rear view mirror, etc. I'm going to continue being kind of vague with my update again though so I don't get too in my own head about following through on promises I can't keep.

Last month's poll winner was the Judy and Tama choice; so I'll just have to do Bridget fanart on my own time I guess. There is kind of a backlog now on Patron Poll images and this brings up something about letting the polls get complicated: not just letting submissions go through that require a lot of background or panel work, but mainly just putting myself in the mindset of making the patron poll images my BIG THING I WORK ON THIS MONTH. Which has been a contributing factor to frustration and burnout. As well as getting in the way of commissions. So I'm going to pull back on some of the patron poll images as I work through them, trying to keep them simple and not overdo it again. Remember that the goal is to get back to making comics, and the poll has been getting in the way of that some. I may have to change the poll at some point, but I don't know what to do yet and I don't want to take it away entirely - I just want to make sure its something I can more consistently follow through on (even if it means poll images have to be black and white or something for a while).

Commissions are kind of a big deal also. I know I haven't really explained what is going on with me and medical bills. And I am not going to. But I also have taxes to cover on top of it so I am going to keep working through my waiting list of commissions until I get my head above water. If you submitted to the waiting list last year: I'm getting there,  I just had a trainwreck of a back half of 2022 tripping me up.

Anyways. Got a pile of coms and patron poll images to start on so I'll see you soon. Submission post later this week when I have something checked off the list.
