Sorry, I don't know what after effects is! I drew the frame with my usual drawing tool (Sai 2) and edited it together as gif!

By after effects I am referring to the Adobe after effects which is mainly for animation purpose e.g. from still images to animation such as this one. In my opinion After effects is better to make animation as it requires you to draw less frames and sprites
