Declined payments (Patreon)

I'm not sure how I should deal with declined payments. I guess I'll be sending messages here on Patreon to patrons with declined payments on the beginning on every month. I'll wait a week for replies, otherwise I'll remove these pledges.

Sounds like a good way to take care of them. I'm not sure how other artists deal with them.

I believe other artists have mentioned before that the actual amount shown as being made each month is almost always higher then the actual number due to declined payments. A friend of mine who uses patreon has decided to stay with a system of: 'If the payment is declined, they will receive a friendly reminder that it was, and that if it is declined a second time the pledge will simply be removed'

Actually it's much more accurate right now because Patreon calculates fees and declined payments so this number visible to the public is more like a net value coming from Patreon to artist's PayPal. The gross amount is still visible for the owner in the patron manager. So if it says $10 it means that the artist is actually getting $10
