What do you think about this level of finish? The wallpapers doesn't look so great anymore... I'm trying to develop some simpler technique that would allow me to finish things faster. Working on one pic for a week is really annoying and then it gets 50 likes while a colored sketch has 250 and it all just feels like a wasted time. I really love this sharp highly detailed style, but unfortunately it's just not worth it to spend so much time on every single pic – especially when you are trying to make a living out of it.

Second thing. As you can see there are two color versions included. Which one do you prefer? Do you prefer if the character respects the light of the scene a bit more or with the hue a bit shifted to make it more vibrant and separated from the scene?

Sometimes simpler is better. Don't feel like every image has to have a popping background ya know.

While I am a big fan of wallpapers you don't need to stress yourself over them. Maybe only do them if you think the image is really fitting for it, and if so then limit it to one version per drawing instead of the three you have now if the scene is not fitting for multiple ones. About the likes and such, don't worry if you're not getting much feedback here, it's the same with all other artists I support on patreon, it's a pretty dead platform when it comes to interactions. At least your posts on derpi seem to get quite a bit of attention. And about the colour, in this case I prefer the one without the blue-ish hue, because that one makes LD's coat colour just seem off.

And again I ended up writing an essay, I'm sorry :x You've missed all my points :v Exporting wallpapers is automatic, it takes maybe 10min, but if the picture itself is messy it just looks bad when zoomed in. I know some people don't see a problem in it but for me it's no longer a wallpaper material if it's not crystal sharp - I'm going to look at this pic all the time, so I need it to be clean and I know few other people appreciate this as well. I never said it's about Patreon. Of course no one cares about it here. Patreon is basically a payment processor and reward sharing platform, it's a terrible social media, obviously. Anyways, it doesn't matter, because it's always consistent across all sites. It is very rare for a pic to do very good on Twitter and "meh" on Furaffinity or Derpibooru. It's either doing good everywhere or not doing good anywhere. For example, that Halloween Gumi pic was amazing, I loved it and I've spent so much work on this and I was excited to share it, but after few hours it got 18 likes and I've lost 4 followers... next day it was 30 and a week later it's like 60 and it is consistent acroos all of the sites - it just feels like a wasted time, because I could use it to make 10 sketches of her that would do much better. Giving such high finish to pics is amazing and a signature I'd like to have, but it is just not worth it. It's not the time for it, I'm too small for it, I won't make it like this, I have to sacrifice the quality for the sake of doing more content, because my time is limited and I'm doing terrible at this moment. After over 5 years of trying and thousands of hours invested I get 100 likes on average and everyone around me is doing better by drawing colored sketches as a hobby - it just all feels not worth it. The attention to details I value and love is just not paying off for me. At all. And it never will, because most people don't really see it. You first need to make your way up by doing a lot of cheap stuff before you will be able to afford investing more time and give your creations more attention and even then, you will be only doing it for your own satisfaction and maybe thse few people that will see it. I always bring up deadmau5 when I'm talking about this. His music is amazing and he is inspiring to me as a person. His latest stuff is so amazing and so sharp. Everyone loves his albums, thousands of people buy and listen to them. Now, how many of these people will appreciate the fact the his latest album was fully mixed on an analogue Neve console? How many will be even able to hear this subtle fidelity? Was investing 500 000$ in the gear, wiring it up, building a studio, dealing with the analogue domain workflow and investing all of this time into it worth it? No, not at all, in fact it was pointless, because at the end of the day someone will be listening to it on their iphone. He does it for his own satisfaction, so he can tell himself: "yeah, that's the shit right here, this is what I wanted, I'm proud of this", but this is not going to pay off, never, ever. This is something you actually have to afford, it's not going to give you anything, you have to pay for it, it's a luxury you have to earn. He already went through all of the shit of music industry in order to get to this place. I didn't. Sure, the scale here is waaaaaay off, but the dynamics remains. I thought that I may be able to skip the shitty part and jump right to the end, but now I understand it doesn't work like this. It's not time for caring for your brand or details of your work, because all this you are doing mostly for yourself and few of your fans, it's nothing that will help you to put your name out there, it's sad but that's the reality in which Epstein didn't kill himself.
