Little something. Kinda preparing for some comic maybe.

I'm a bit dead but it's because I'm working on pics for an upcoming Halloween art pack I'm a part of.

Good luck with the pack

I sort of read over this a while ago. Are comics something that you want to try getting into? Most artists see that as more work or more pleasure...more obligation. If it's something you want to seriously pursue, that's another thing that could be added to your content pool. "Random page of artist generated comic" or "random artist's choice short comic" I am sure more than just me around here would be willing to see you stretching your creative muscles when you're motivated!!!!??

I was thinking about it. I mean, I wasn't considering adding such option to the pool, but I'd love to do some comics as they can outline the relation between characters much better than a single pic. Or rather it's just much easier to achieve it. My skill is the problem though. I just can't be physically efficient enough I feel. I just don't understand how other artists can grab a piece of paper and sketch something in 5min, like quick commissions people often do during conventions. The job other artists do in 30min take me 10h. When I start working on something it looks like 5 year old kid's drawing and I bet you would never think that these first lines and a finished product came from the same guy. So the main point is: it would take me a ridiculous amount of time to finish a comic page. I'm working on that, I already have few ideas and even sketches but no time to finish them properly.

I encountered a similar mentality when working with a friend who was commissioned by me to do a comic. You're worried too much about the final quality when a comic is actually an artist's chance to skimp on quality a little because plot and dialogue fill in enough details that the visual context/presentation no longer needs to be perfect. Also, speed comes with repetition, create an easy and duplicatable comic worthy style and practice the *bleep* out of it. You're art is beautiful, which means your vision is keen and spectacular. The problem now is just transferring it through your muscles and into your pc... that gets solved with practice. I wish I was a content creator too so that I could be a little more convincing, but I'm just a collector/appreciater.
