Dear Patrons,

A few months ago we voted for HMS Victory as the next 3D project, working with Simon from 3DArtvision who created the brilliant animations for our 'Perfect Castle' video.

Due to the complexity of all things that float on water, this has been slow but steady progress, but we can now share this little preview to get you in the mood! We're still a few months away, and there's much more to do. But as you can see it's going to be a great looking video, and packed full of information about HMS Victory and Napoleonic ships-of-the-line more generally.

These are the kind of ambitious projects that are only possible because of your support here on Patreon, so thank you all again.

Also quick note for newer Patrons - welcome! And just to let you know there is an active AMA post here on Patreon where you can ask Ask Me Anything about the videos, the channel, myself, etc.

Meanwhile, work is also underway on Belisarius Part 3 (catch up with the series here), about which I'll be posting more updates soon.

Thanks again for your support!

Toby

Awesome I’d love to see you do a titanic doc using this where we go inside the design of the turbines boiler rooms etc? What was the titanic doc you worked on I’ve watched almost all of them but if I haven’t I’ll give it a look. It’s my personal favourite topic so it’ll get my vote on any future history rebuilt collaborations. Plus congrats on 100 million views 1 billion soon?

This one was called 'Titanic: A Tale of Two Journeys', it was quite a while ago now, maybe 2009? Not sure if it's online (it wasn't a particularly noteworthy documentary!). Thank you, didn't realise I had reached that particular landmark!
