Epic History TV Production Update (Patreon)

Dear Patrons, 

I hope you are all having a good Friday and looking forward to the weekend, wherever you may be. Here's a quick update on what I'm working on and what's coming next...

Early next week, I'll be able to share exclusive early access to The Apollo Program Part 2. For those who've seen Part 1, you'll know that James Malcolm has done an amazing job on the VFX for this series, as well as explaining complex technical stuff in an accessible way - genuinely as good as any TV doc.  

Part 2 will cover the drama of the moon landing itself, with more great VFX and archive. This series has not (so far) been getting as many views on YouTube (probably because Napoleon never went to space), but if you watch it and like it, I'd be hugely grateful if you could spread the news - share it, post it on your social media etc, and help it reach the audience it deserves. 

Meanwhile, I am currently finalising the script for Vitoria 1813 - Wellington's decisive victory in the Peninsular War. This is about 4 weeks away - more updates and sneak peeks in due course. 

I'll then be moving on to two nautical projects that have been on the slipway for some time - Salamis 480, and HMS Victory. 

Around the same time, we'll vote on a topic for the next series. I have some ideas and I know you do too, and I look forward to getting stuck into it. There will be NO Napoleon option in this next vote - I need a little break and so does the channel - BUT I promise that the vote after will include Napoleon in Italy 1796. I hope that's a fair compromise for the pro-  and anti-Bonaparte brigades! 

Finally, I wondered if there might be sufficient interest for me to host an AMA (Ask Me Anything) here on Patreon - a simple thread in which you can ask me anything about how the videos are made, my own background in TV and history, my favourite Marshal, what Charles Nove has for breakfast, or anything else. This will go ahead only if I get 10 or more comments here expressing an interest.
