Dear Patrons,

It's a new topic for Epic History TV, but I hope you're going to enjoy 'Tragedy to Triumph: The Apollo Program Part 1'. It's a story that's familiar to most of us, but it never hurts to revisit these topics, especially when they're packed with such astonishing drama, sacrifice and achievement.

You'll also notice that the animations and CGI are out of this world. This is thanks to James Malcolm, a very skilled VFX specialist and dedicated space history fan, who created every aspect of this video. This is the sort of collaboration that's increasingly possible thanks to your support here on Patreon.

I hope you enjoy the video, and look forward to your feedback. I'll post the link to the YouTube version as soon as it's up. Napoleon's Marshals Part 5 is next! (estimating 3 weeks).

Thanks again for all your support.

Toby

Just watched this. Outstanding video. I didn't know that one of the head scientist was a scientist for Nazi Germany. The recruitment of Nazi scientists post world war 2 would in itself be such a fascinating video series.

Thanks Jonathan, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the US operation to recruit German scientists was Operation Paperclip, there's been some good documentaries about it here in UK, and it's a very interesting topic. All the allied powers had similar operations of their own.

Well I know what I'm spending my week researching! Interesting moral dilemma in recruiting ex-Nazi scientists in order to progress domestically. History has the best stories
