Great to see so many Patrons have watched the new Borodino video already, and also a big welcome to the many new Patrons who've recently signed up to get early access.

I know some prefer to watch using the YouTube player so here's the link. (Please don't share this link until the video goes live on Friday).

Also, we'll be doing a lot of (what I think!) are interesting social media posts in the next few days to support the new video, including, for example, some colour photographs taken of the Borodino battlefield in 1911 (just before the first centenary), so make sure you're following Epic History TV on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram if that's your thing.

Thank you all again for your invaluable support. I'm now working on the 'Retreat from Moscow' script. I expect to have this episode out before Christmas, and I'll be back with more updates soon.

Use link to receive a one-month FREE trial! In 1812 Napoleon invaded Russia with the largest army Europe had ever seen. As it advanced, the Russian army retreated, and by September Napoleon's army had marched 470 miles into the depths of Russia. 70 miles west of Moscow near the village of Borodino, the Russian army, under a new commander, General Kutuzov, finally made a stand. The battle that followed was the bloodiest day's fighting of the Napoleonic Wars, and proved one of the most infamous battles of history. Hey Epic history, I’m not sure my last payment went through (lord and ladies). Late last month the card tied to my paypay account was frauded and because of that cancelled. Regardless, yesterday I changed my payment method to be directly from my new card and upgraded to hero. I really believe in your channel and love your videos. Sorry if my last payment didn’t go through, however I want to make up for it being a hero for several videos to come. Love what you do! You’re the best!

Really really nice vidéo, the paintings and the quotes makes it perfet !!! And dammm, Davout's plan was indeed risky because of the woods yet it could've worked however..."saving" the Old Garde was a mistake (and 2 times in the same day !) T^T Just love your work it's awesome and we always learn new stuff!

Thank you! I was wondering if I put in too many quotes, so great to get your feedback.
