Salvate!

I hope you are having wonderful Christmas Holidays!

As the New Year is around the corner, many people are setting their resolutions for the next year. As for me, I know that I don't usually fulfill those resolutions entirely. More likely bit by bit. This theme gave me an idea to provide you, dear Patreons, with a little update + include future plans that I would love to fulfill in the next year.

DECEMBER UPDATE

Let's start with an update first. I know that December was a bit weaker month compared to others. Even though I stated in my Patreon info, that this particular creative activity depends on my free time, I feel little bit burdened for not providing enough content for this month as I stated. There were two main issues that drove me into a little creative crisis.

One: I opened requests. Two of you provided your ideas and I was happy to make an animation from it. After I booted up SFM, posed all the characters and prepared it for the animation, there was always something that caught me off guard and I had to rearrange it completely. This kind of behaviour locked me in the loop of "that's not IT" doubts and therefore I never provided these requests as I said so. This also shifted to a cursed number 82, where I scrapped like 4 animations before releasing the one, that bears this number. A simple realisation came up in my head noting that after one "rather-simple" commission I did for one of my friends, I am unable to fulfill requests / commissions (therefore I closed them). To conclude this, I apologize for not making what I said that I will do and I will simply move on from it.

Two: December workload & IRL stuff. December is always a month, when everybody is preparing for Christmas and want to finish everything before the holidays start. I experienced the same with my full time job. Workload was really big. I always wanted to create something after bussiness hours but my brain simply turned off. Weekends were mostly filled with social life and other IRL stuff I had to take care of. I hope you can understand my absence during this month.

Now I am having few days off to relax a little and contemplate about other animations that I can create for the next month. Fortunately, I still feel the joy of creating these animations and I do not feel like I'm being forced to do them. That's the great mindset I would love to keep as longest as I can.

ROADMAP 2023

Now, let's talk about the "resolution" for 2023. I made myself a little checklist of things that I would love to improve in the future. It's nothing game changing in my opinion but I planned these in advance already around September / October.

Redesign of website

As simple as might sound, it took me over 2 weeks to actually prepare the webiste I have been using until now. Even though I am using Wix because of their WYSIWYG style of building a website, I am always nitpicking every single detail to actually build something I like.

But, the design in my eyes seems a little bit old and it is time for a new one. I already have prepared the layout for the page which is like 50% done, but the other stuff like backgrounds etc. they had to be done as well. Thankfully, I found a better approach for my animations / renders to be more in a way I like it, so I am planning to use that way to create branding / backgrounds / other graphics for the site that would actually look really good in my eyes.

The plan is also to buy a domain and hosting on Wix. Yearly price is around 90-120$. I am planning to purchase this after the whole redesign of "adlucinori" is done. When it will be done? I am not sure and I am not going to promise anything. But it will be someday in the next year (hopefully).

Redesign of branding / socials

As mentioned above, I am also planning to re-design all the other stuff regarding this project. Such as avatars, banners and also a signature. The key thing for me would be to find a theme that I would use all around the sites such as Twitter, FurAffinity, or newly, Itaku. And of course Patreon. Also as mentioned above, using the new way of approaching my renders / animation would help me a lot to find the theme and make the process of redesign a bit faster and rather more appealing.

Purchasing a new SSD

This one is holding onto me like a tick. In January, I may probably get something that will upgrade my workstation to a bit higher level. And I want to take an advantage of it and purchase another SSD for my animation projects. Currently I have one system SSD and two HDDs that are already full of stuff. I want to invest in that SSD by purchasing 2TB sized one. You could argue that another HDD would be much cheaper alternative for storing the documents and other stuff and I do agree with you, but there are more and more programs that require such speed only an SSD can bring.

That would also mean that I can make longer animations without wasting too much space and even more quickly. (It's not ONLY dependant on SSD of course, but you get the point). So, hopefully I will manage to get this one early in the future.

Manage animations / links more efficiently

I am a lazy person by default but I do get triggered sometimes when the things are not as I want them to be. Sounds like a big oxymoron. What I wanted to say is that I would love to keep the animations (in compendiums / links I'm providing to you) in more efficient way such as better naming, better folder structure to actually filter and divide what a person wants to see. I have to start in my file system first and therefore move to MEGA & other compendiums where I keep my animations. Last part of this "spring cleaning" process would be edits of existing posts on FurAffinity / VK in more template-ish way that I am going to use.

Content stylisation

And last but not least, the stylisation of my content. I went back in the past little bit with reuploading my first animations on Itaku and I wondered. I really did make the animations longer than before. I already saw a lot of mistakes in my works before but the lenght is something I would also like to focus on. It may take a bit longer to render, a bit longer to sound but maybe it would be a nice step out from the loops I am making so far. And it would probably also motivate me to create bigger projects in the future. Not only the animations but even things like comics for example. But this will come once I do all the things above.

And that's about it! Thank you for reading. Thanks again to all my Patreons supporting my work and all of you who like my work. I hope I can push my limits more and more to create more astonishing and hot animations.

Bonum Diem Habeas.
