Yes, mood spoilers are my pet-peeve. There's plenty to comment on about the specific episode or Emme's commentary. In my opinion, spoiling future emotions is the exact same as spoiling future plot points.

To be honest, half the times I rewatch, I skip this two-parter. I cringe way too hard. In the DW fandom, this two-parter is referred to as “the farting alien episodes.” It’s a shame because the scene in the bunker is one of my favorite ninth doctor moments. It reveals the immense responsibility on his shoulders- being the arbiter of life and death pays a heavy price on the soul. Eccleston’s performance is superb as he delivers that dialogue. Your reaction to Rose leaving and her relationship with Jackie is exactly what mine is. It’s interesting because the first time Rose left, she literally ran towards the Tardis with a smile on her face as the doctor promised her all of time and space. This time, she’s leaving with this heavy emotional baggage of the dangers and the toll it takes on her loved ones. I think it was a smart writing choice and I feel like it lends gravity to the stakes.
