SHEEESH... so as stated in the intro, and if yall have been on this journey with me for a while you will know that i am not really a tough critic. that being said, this movie unfortunately really disappointed me :(

I wish you hadn't needed to experience this movie 😄 and it must be a strange feeling to be all caught up

i agree with pretty much all u said. i really wish they chose a different antagonist for the sequel trilogy besides the empire and palpatine again. i just feel we’re back to the same point where we were at the end of the original trilogy, with the empire gone, palpatine gone, and a lone jedi restarting the jedi order again.

Crazy to think you’re basically all caught up on Star Wars now (although I strongly recommend at least watching the cut scenes for Jedi Survivor). Proud to say I’ve been here since you started posting clone wars reactions on Patreon

Film YouTuber Patrick Willems summed it up pretty well IMO that most modern Star Wars (Andor being the main exception) is now far more interested in referencing other Star Wars instead of introducing fantastical new stories/settings/characters. JJ Abrams (who directed Ep 7 and 9) is also someone who has historically been very good at capturing the vibe of past works, but struggles to innovate or wrap up threads he sets up. IMO, all of these flaws/weaknesses culminate in this movie. I remember being so hyped leading up to this release. But then the initial buzz that came out of preview screenings days before release was B-A-D, leaving me with a sinking feeling in my stomach that fully hit in the theater when "Somehow, Palpatine has returned..." was uttered. 🫠

This was the first movie I ever walked out of the theater for. I am pretty easy to please and this didn't do it for me. I don't mean that to sound negative or anything; it is just the reality. If people got something positive from it, then more power to them. I'll tell you what though, the marketing team did a great job getting everyone so excited for the sequels. When the trailer came out for this movie, people went freakin nuts.

It disappointed all of us don't worry. The Force Awakens was a solid enough movie and set the trilogy up to be quite interesting. Unfortunately the ball was dropped.

i forgot about jedi survivor!!! i will need to look into that at one point. thanks for being here for the ride!!!

I think it was just before they found the destroyed second Death Star. Around 70 minutes in. Not only was I just not liking the story up to that point, but I didn’t like how the dialogue was written. They seemed to try and crack a joke or be sarcastic every five minutes, and in general, the acting was a bit dramatic for me (the actors in other projects are great, though). That’s a complaint I have for all three movies. Honestly I think it’s a Disney specific issue because most of their movies have drifted that way too. Something like the Mandalorian or Ahsoka is what I was hoping for, where there is humor but it is done at the right time and not all of the time.

I forgot how bad the last Jedi and this movie really was lol 😂 let’s create a power so I can stab a lightsaber through a person and just heal them (Qui Gon is livid somewhere) and then if someone dies we can just bring them back to life. O and let’s make Anakin’s story of being the chosen one not mean nothing at all by bringing palapatine back. I could go on and on. Finn could of been an amazing character and even Ray could of been an even better character with good storytelling. Ben Solo/kylo Ren was the best character of the sequels

Since so many people said "everyone" hates it I feel obligated to say, I liked it. this will be my last message though because I'm tired of being dunked on for years over this film. It was a nice ride going through Star Wars with you. I wish you the best in whatever you do going forward.
