hi friends!

here is my edited reaction to "what if..." season 2 episode 2 "what if... peter quill attacked earth's mightiest heroes?"

this one was SO cool to see, especially for the timeline in 1988 of marvel!!! i also think it added some better opportunities for both peter and bucky, in some way.

thanks for watching with me!

2024-01-14 18:50:51 Remember Ant-Man and The Wasp? Dr. Bill Foster said that he worked with Hank on a project called “Goliath.” That project is the blue suit he’s in. Goliath was his superhero codename at the time. There’s no indication that we’re gonna see that suit in future live-action projects, but someone recently commented in another reaction for episode 2 that Dr. Foster had a nephew in the comics named Tom. He would also take on the mantle. So there’s a possibility that they’ll cast someone to portray Tom Foster and put on the Goliath suit in the present. And by the way, Atandwa Kani got to voice T’Chaka in his prime again after portraying him for the 1992 flashbacks in Black Panther 2018.

According to the writers, the inspiration for this episode came from the fact that Peter and Hope were both dealing with the loss of their mothers around this time. Apparently the banter between Hank Pym and Wendy Lawson/Mar-Vell was inspired by the fact that Michael Douglas and Annette Benning were in "The American President" together (though she didn't technically voice Lawson in this episode). Also, did you notice that Peter's stuffed animal was a raccoon? Howard suggesting to throw the seedling down the garbage disposal is a callback to Tony's line about the Time Stone in "Infinity War". And it just occurred to me, if Peter, under Ego's control, destroyed the Nine Realms, was Odin killed? If so, wouldn't that release Hela?
