Not everyone hates this movie. You can ask a few fellow reactors such as Mary Cherry, Natalie Gold, Movies with Mary, Alex Hefner, and even the Normies. Sure they had some criticisms which were important to note, but overall they enjoyed the film for what it offered. On my own behalf, I’ll admit that I struggled to enjoy it the first time. I actually didn’t intend to watch it until it was available for streaming because I heard about the mixed reviews going around. I can see why they said what they said, but when I saw it for the second time on Disney Plus roughly two years ago, I enjoyed it a lot more than my first time watching. Now that I got that outta the way, here’s a list of fun facts about this movie: 1.) Gemma Chan previously portrayed Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel 2019. Now she's back as Sersi, and she got to keep her accent this time. 2.) Kumail Nanjiani had to go on a strict Marvel diet. However in early 2020 while being interviewed, Jimmy Kimmel gave Kumail a bunch of pizza and cake to munch on for the first time in a while. Then about two years ago, Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) filled in for Kelly Clarkson in her talk show and also got to interview Kumail. He revealed that his niece was so happy to see her uncle on screen as Kingo. She even enjoyed dancing along to the Bollywood dance number. 3.) Makkari is one of the MCU’s first deaf characters along with Maya Lopez from Hawkeye. 4.) Bryan Tyree Henry revealed in a behind-the-scenes interview that he was crying with excitement when he got to put on his costume for Phastos for the first time. By the way, I’ve been waiting so long to tell you that this is Bryan’s second Marvel role. His first was lending his voice as Miles Morales’ father Jeff in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. 5.) Don Lee is best known for his role in Train to Busan. He said he wanted to portray Gilgamesh so he could be an inspiration to the younger generation as their first Korean superhero. He also got to include his boxing training in his role. 6.) The second post-credit scene features the Ebony Blade that Sprite mentioned to Thena. Dane is about to become the next Black Knight. 7.) The guy who asked him if he was ready for it was Eric Brooks better known as Blade. He’s a vampire hunter who so happens to be half-human half-vampire. He's being portrayed by Mahershala Ali, and he'll have his own film currently set for Friday, November 7 2025. Also Mahershala had voiced Miles’ uncle Aaron Davis/the Prowler.

The cinematography in this movie is great I can’t lie

We can thank Chloe Zhao for that. She was adamant about wanting to film on location whenever possible. For example, the opening scene by the shore was filmed with natural lighting from the sun.

Emme, I think you’re spot on. Ultimately, a decent movie with excellent production values, but not a fav.

I enjoyed Eternals, it's definitely not the worst Marvel film by any metric. You hit on a common sentiment that many had when it came out, that these characters would have benefited from more development and buildup. I wish we could get a sequel soon, but with all the negative sentiment online it doesn't seem likely.

My take away from this is, that you've never seen The greatest show in television history; Game of Thrones. It's brutal but worth all the brilliance. I highly recommend!
