hi friends!

I'm SOO sorry for the delay, i honestly had not recently i didn't upload it here, and then things have been super hectic for me getting ready for the holidays!

here is my edited reaction to spider-man: across the spider-verse

another AMAZING movie, WOW!!! i truly love the spider-verse movies, they have always had me hooked from the first five minutes. i feel like for most of the movie i was just in awe taking in the art and animation style. the story was also amazing, and i am so excited for whenever the next one comes out!!!

First correction, Emme: those weren’t hot pockets. They were Jamaican patties. The most common are beef, veggie, and chicken curry which is my personal favorite. The Lego scenes were made not by a team of animators but by 14 year old kid named Preston Mutanga. He has a YouTube channel under the name LegoMe_TheOG. And to answer your question, no they didn’t add subtitles. This was one of those “if you know, you know” scenarios. They did the same thing with the 2020 remake of West Side Story. My sister and I are from a Guatemalan family, and we grew up learning Spanish. So we were among the moviegoers who had a deeper understanding. A fun fact: Luna Lauren Velez, the voice actress for Miles’ mom Rio, has said that her mom was sad that she didn’t say que dios te bendiga in the first film. Her mom wanted her to call Phil Lord, one of the headwriters, to implement the blessing into the sequel. However, what Luna didn’t know is that her co-Star Shameik Moore had said bendición when he recorded. So when she saw the finished scene for the first time, she got emotional. Phil had also said that it was important to him for even 10% of the audience to understand what that phrase meant. Lenny, the shopkeeper who confronted Spot was voiced by Ziggy Marley. He’s one of Bob Marley’s children. When Hobie says he hates the a.m. and the P.M, he’s respectively talking about the morning and the Prime Minister. Four facts about Pavitr: 1.) He wasn’t bitten by a radioactive spider. Rather his powers are magic based. 2.) He fights using an Indian martial art called Kalaripayattu. A small animation team from Kerala was tasked to help animate Pavitri's movements. 3.) His Spidey mask has design inspirations from Theyyam, a Hindu ritual from Kerala. 4.) The head-writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller invited Karan to the writers’ room to pitch in ideas for Pavitr. They were aiming for his character to be culturally specific. There’s no confirmation whether live-action Aaron Davis/Prowler is the same one from Spider-Man Homecoming. For all we know, this might be a What If situation. In other words, he’s from an entirely separate dimension/timeline. Speaking of which, the canon events are absolute points like what we saw with Strange Supreme in What If season 1. The way I understand it, the Spider Society is pretty much a Spidey-themed TVA. A major difference is that they don’t prune dimensions. Rather, they try to save them from collapsing. The Spider-Man who told Miles there was nowhere to run and then apologized to everyone for his mistake was record producer Metro Boomin’ making a cameo. He curated the soundtrack for this film. The deluxe edition has six bonus tracks aside from the main thirteen. Peter is a great mentor but also an irresponsible father for bringing Mayday to a steel mill with all kinds of equipment that can easily harm her. Although I did like that he acknowledged that Spider-Heroes are supposed to be funny. Miguel has the best of intentions with preventing the multiverse from collapsing, but I didn’t like that he called Miles a mistake and blamed him for everything that happened. Miles never asked to get bitten by a radioactive spider, but he’s doing his best and making the most of the situation. And finally, it’s weird but also cool that Earth-42’s version of J. Jonah Jameson and The Daily Bugle would actually support a Spider-Man rather than call him a menace all the time. Going into this, I knew we were gonna be left on a cliffhanger. This movie was originally a two-parter. They ended up renaming the third movie Beyond the Spider-Verse, but the concept remains the same. And finally, Amandla Stenberg (the voice of Margo Kess/Spider-Byte) is the lead actress in an upcoming Star Wars show The Acolyte.

The visuals & music alone speaks for itself how good this movie is. & Spidey sense is usually for danger & it depends on the story like in one movie you have Peter dodging all these attacks but he can’t sense when someone watching him put his suit on, in others he can weird writing lol. This movie was so fast paced but also paced good they fit so much in 2 hrs & the whole cannon conversation blew my mind idk what’s gonna happen next 😂 & im sure I missed lots of easter eggs lol, Indian Spider-Man & Hobbie were my favs
