hi friends!

here is my timed reaction to firefly season 1 episode 7 "jaynestown!"

i thought this episode would maybe help grow some empathy for jayne............ was not expectating this at all

this is one of my favourite episodes and im glad you enjoyed it, the first half because its funny, they do a good job know just how we see Jayne at this point, the reactions to the idea of him being a hero, and all those scenes. BUT, the reason i love this episode is the crowd scene, when told what Jayne did the kid still jumps in the way, and this was the moment i started liking Jayne as a character, (not a person, id hate to be around him if he was real lol) Jayne isn't a good person, that much is obvious lol, but I think his reaction to the Mudder taking the bullet shows hes not a bad person either. he starts off with rage at Stitch, but then anger at the Mudder, the "why would you do that, didn't you hear a word he (Stitch) said" showing its less anger at him but at the action of him taking the bullet for Jayne (who he seems to think didn't deserve someone doing that for him) and how it stuck with him for the rest of his scenes till that final scene. i do wish we got more firefly to see him develop more, and his development isnt over, but yea, id have like to see where his character eventually went over a few years of the show.
