During a live watch-along of Black Widow, Kevin Feige answered a fan's question on twitter through the Marvel Studios account. The fan asked if we were ever gonna know whether Yelena survived the Snap. At the time, Kevin responded that we'd know soon. I had a feeling she had vanished. It makes sense. She's new to the MCU. They had to make it so that she didn't age a whole lot. There are a handful of people who vanished for five years and lost someone dear to them by the time they returned. For instance back in WandaVision, Monica Rambeau lost her mom Maria to cancer during that time period. However, Yelena has it the worst. Her sister Nat gave her life for the soul stone which was required to resurrect all the vanished. That last whistle at the end of Black Widow 2020 was probably the last time the two sisters saw each other in person, and only Clint was the closest to saying goodbye to the fellow Avenger.
