❤️ Cool beans! Do consider the extended edition of The Two Towers, or at the very least, The Return of the King.

Culper (Lukas)

Agreed. Even if you watch just half of it one day and the other half another day in order to make it through the movie. The extended cuts give so much more to the viewing experience. Character arcs change.

subbed for these, thanks Eme

this is what I'm picturing the whole time I'm on ff14

So very glad to watch this with you, Emme! And I am also always biased towards ranged fighters/archers as that is the class I tend to play as well. As for the actors/actresses you may or may not have recognized: yes, Elrond is played by Hugo Weaving who was Agent Smith in The Matrix; Boromir is played by Sean Bean who was Ned Stark in Game of Thrones (and is also pretty much a meme because it always seems like his character dies); Saruman is played by Christopher Lee who was Count Dooku in the prequels/Clone Wars; and Galadriel (the Lady of the Wood) is played by Cate Blanchett who was Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Lastly, yes - Sam is played by Sean Astin who was Bob in Stranger Things. But thank you for another incredible reaction. I am personally okay if you choose not to watch the extended versions of the next two movies, as it is a lot of movie to sit through, but I do quite enjoy the parts that they add, but leave out of these theatrical versions. Either way, I absolutely look forward to continuing the journey with you!

Although there are some occasional hints of this being from the early 2000s, they are far and few between. They are also far more tolerable than the countless offenses and cheesiness that were introduced into the Rings of Power series on Amazon. That whole production is laughably bad and is a far more modern production, with a budget close to $750 Million. Where all that money was invested other than the $250M for the license, I and many others would love to know! These movies, although they are over 20 years old, make Amazon's efforts look absolutely heartless. So, do your self a favor and avoid the Amazon series, unless you want a good laugh.

Welcome to the most incredible, epic and beautiful journey ever known to the world of men (and women :p). Just for your information, there is an extra hour of scene in the extended version that makes this journey even more awesome.

Alexandre Martin

This is the mother of modern fantasy. Everything we take for granted in fantasy video games, books, movies, it all leads to one name, Tolkien. He is our brother, our captain, our king.

Oh nice, just signed up to your patreon the other day and now you're doing LotR. I do strongly suggest reacting to the extended editions of two towers and return of the king. While some of the cut content could probably be considered filler there are some crucial scenes that really should not have been cut in them.

I was wondering how people felt about the rings of power and if that was worth watching!

I have also seen some reactors on youtube first react to the theatrical releases and then the extended cuts later? That could be an idea for me too.. so many thoughts!!

I know it’s been said a few times on here but just wanted to reiterate that the extended cuts are on a whole different level than the theatrical cuts and would highly recommend them. Thanks for the reaction.

There is just one scene in the extended cut of Return of the King that I am astonished didn't make it in!

As many others have recommend, definitely watch the extended cuts of Two Towers, and Return of the King. And maybe, when time permits, watch Fellowship again, as the extended cut. I only recently, in the last 6 years, got to watching the Extended cuts, and I regretted waiting so long to do so.

Christopher Lee is a legend for good reason; he read Lord of the Rings every year, & probably stabbed some Nazis in the back.

Frank Bianco

I hope you are doing Two Towers and Return of the King also. Butcher from The Boys is in it.

Senza Nome

“I would have followed you to the end. My brother. My Captain. My King.” Gets me every fricking time 😭😭😭

The original versions (especially Fellowship) are def better for a first time viewer. If someone falls in love with the world and just wants extra stuff then the extended work but nothing necessary is in them.
