hi friends!

here is my timed reaction to captain marvel! i had no idea about captain marvel or what this movie would be about and i really enjoyed it!!! it was so cool to see how things tie into what we know, and especially amazing to meet goose!

This reaction couldn't have come at a better time. Just started watching Secret Invasion on Disney+ which is a sequel to this movie and a prequel to Captain Marvel 2 that, hopefully, will arrive before Christmas this year.

You are nearly to phase 4! That includes both Movies and Disney Plus TV shows and they tie together. The shows have some great casts, including a lot of MCU characters you’ve already met and liked, so hopefully you watch them. Also, Ronan wasn’t the only character from Guardians in this, there’s Djimon Hounsou as Korath. He was the guy who nearly captured Star-Lord in GOTG, and Carol called unattractive in this.

The intro was all Stan instead of the usual heroes but you looked away for a second and missed it. He did indeed pass away right before the release, so the intro was a tribute to him. Before the MCU the main on screen marvel was animated, and he would often narrate intros and whatnot. Fond memories of the 70s and 80s

This movie is great. I sub to another reaction channel, and they just so happened to react to this movie this weekend as well, and it's full of comments with people complaining about "toxic feminism" and "woke culture". It's a shame that kind of idiocy permeates to a lot of corners of the internet, but so far your channel seems exempt. So thank you for cultivating good vibes!

I really really hope you'll consider watching Agents of SHIELD at some point, not only does it give tons more Coulson (which is amazing), but it's in my opinion the best MCU television show up there with Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

It is always funny watching a reactor believing the Kree are the good guys at the beginning just because they are who we see first, forgetting the part the Kree played in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Agents of Shield. Not to say that all Kree are bad just because the militant ones we have seen in the past are bad, but still. Anyways, the Yon Rogg and his unit shot down Carol Danvers, tried to kill her, then after she absorbed the energy from the core they abducted her and took her to Hala, wiped/falsified her memories, brainwashed & gaslit her for 6 years trying to train her to be a robotic weapon for her. If you remember the beginning of the movie her teacher constantly told her to control her emotions, I feel that was mostly because they were afraid if she acted and felt too human her human memories would come back to her. You are probably the only reactor who had that feeling that Yon Rogg was annoying when he spoke to Carol at the beginning because every other reactor at the beginning is always in full agreement with him and then later when the truth comes out nobody ever reflects back like oh, he was just seriously gaslighting her at the beginning of the movie. I also dislike how a lot of reactors or haters comment how they don't like Carol because they feel she is too emotionless. 1, she was literally brainwashed for 6 years by her abductors to squash her emotions. And 2, she does have emotions and it shows throughout the movie, most of the time subtly in her facial expressions, but sometimes slightly less subtle with tears in her eyes, like I have no idea if they saw the same movie sometimes or just watched it through an initial bias based on what they heard from some people and just ignored all of the emotion from Carol. I am glad you enjoyed this movie, even with you not remembering the 2 people from Guardians of the Galaxy, your reaction to this movie (really most if not all the MCU movies so far) is my favorite.
