I don't think it's spoilers to say this, but all the shows in this time period are often referred to as "the mandoverse" and are all leading up to a climactic movie that will be coming out in a few years. We have another season of The Mandalorian and another show yet to come out (I believe it will be two seasons) to finish setting up this era for said movie. I don't think they are doing a 2nd season of Boba, but it does tie in to the overall direction of the mandoverse story.
