I think it speaks to Jessica's complicated mental state and self-image that she tells Luke that *she* killed Reva, rather than saying that Killgrave used her to do it. She's so buried in unaddressed trauma that she feels like she deserves punishment for things that objectively weren't her fault. If nothing else, it makes for compelling TV!
