Hi Emme, I really enjoyed your reaction and watching the episode again after a long time. You're right it is far more intense than other, especially the more recent, Marvel shows and new questions are added faster than old ones are answered. If I am correct, the story now really got started and things will get answered in the upcoming episodes.

I think part of the reason Jessica didn't tell Luke about his wife is because Luke said he didn't believe in mind control, so maybe he wouldn't believe her if she told him about her experiences with Kilgrave either. I'm a big fan of the comics, and Jessica Jones being such a flawed character is a huge part of that. She doesn't always make the right or most ethical call, and I think a lot of it has to do with her trying to deal with her trauma. It's almost like she seeks out the affair with Luke BECAUSE it's wrong thing to do. There's a lot of self-hate there, and I think anyone who has been through similar (albeit less supernatural) experiences can relate to that. It's great writing. Also, I believe canonically Daredevil and Jessica Jones are both set in the current MCU, but Netflix couldn't use a lot superhero names at the time because of licensing issues, so any mentions of "the green guy" etc are references to the current MCU characters.
