Really loved this film. The biggest complaint I see from Spider-Man fans is relating to how the MCU Spider-Man is connected to Tony Stark and the world of the Avengers so early in his Spider-Man journey even getting his first real suit from Tony Stark instead of creating one himself. Peter is 16 in this film so he's only been Spider-Man for around a year or less depending on his Birthday. So compared to the comics versions and the other movies this Peter is kind of spoiled with all this attention from the Avengers provided high tech equipment by Tony Stark who always has his back. But I do think this put's a nice spin on the character connecting him to Tony like he's the Father Peter never had. I think fans just wanted Peter to work his way to the top instead of being introduced at the top with Tony supporting him. For example by the time of Civil War in the comics Peter was in his early 20s so he was Spider-Man for a good 7 or so years before he really got involved with the Avengers. The Department of Damage Control we see in the intro is from the comic's appearing first in Marvel Age Annual #4 (June 1988) going by the name Damage Control. Pretty much they come in and fix any damages caused by conflicts between Hero's and Villains. But for the MCU they also kind of act as a FBI style government force. Vulture first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #2 (May 1963) and is regarded as Spider-Man's the first "Super Villain" Peter went up against as Spider-Man. Vulture was also meant to appear in Sam Rami's Spider-Man 4 so this has been a long time coming, makes so much sense why they would go with Vulture. Also Vulture is played by Michael Keaton who funny enough played Batman, Birdman, and now Vulture. So it's a funny theme going on with his casting, Birdman is a great film if you haven't seen it and the Tim Burton Batman movies with Keaton are really fun as well. The hug scene with Tony and Peter in the car was improvised by both Tom and Robert with Tom thinking it was be fun to hug Robert. "We kind of really riffed off each other," Holland said. "... I think I just tried to hug him, I just thought it would be funny if I hugged him, and Robert's instincts are so good that he was like, 'Ah, I'm not trying to hug you, I'm just gonna get the door.'" Ned is a very interesting character pretty much replacing Harry Osborn as Peter's best friend as for some reason the Osborn's don't exist in the MCU, at least to our knowledge. Edward "Ned" Leeds was a reporter for the Daily Bugle, and the abusive husband of Betty Brant who is played by Angourie Rice in this film. Ned was never a big friend of Peter in the comics and this take on the character seems to be heavily inspired by Ganke Lee who is actually the best friend of Miles Morales a character I'm not sure you know so I'll not speak on him yet. But yeah very different take on Ned from the comics, not sure why they just didn't create an original character. The Spider-Man suit shown at the end with Tony Stark is inspired by the Iron Spider comic book suit built by Tony Stark as well using Stark Tech, influenced by the colours of Stark's Iron Man Armor. This is actually the suit Spider-Man wore in the Civil War comic so I'd imagine if Marvel had the rights to Spider-Man earlier we would've had a few Spider-Man movies before Civil War which would've introduced Spider-Man using this new suit. And Finally the other person at the end In prison is Mac Gargan who is the supervillain Scorpion. Shocker also shows up in this film the person with the Shocker Gauntlet weapons. Doesn't get too much screen time plus he doesn't have any unique suit so I'm guessing there holding onto these characters for future movies. Overall I really enjoyed this whole trilogy with Homecoming being a solid first Spider-Man movie that does skip over his origins but does a great job at showing Peter in his high school years with actors who actually pass as High School students. Tom Holland is also a great Peter Parker and Spider-Man something alot of actors struggle to pull off both sides. Similar to Batman and how some actors do a good Batman but not a good Bruce Wayne while other actors aren't the best as Batman but amazing as Bruce Wayne.

Fun and nerdy fact: the equation that Peter solves in class was what he used to figure out the big swing that finally broke the glass at the Washington monument. The Peter Parker character's brains/nerdiness was central from his early days in comics

Im not sure if you can control this, but where did the 360p quality option go? My internet is pretty trash while my whole families home so watching timer reactions is kind of a struggle.

You know Peter's powers are independent of his suit, right? Like, even if he was naked he would still have super strength and whatnot, so that's why he was able to lift all the rubble that he was stuck underneath.

FYI - your reactions don't time perfectly with the movies so syncing them is always off. I have to pause your videos frequently so that your reactions don't get ahead of the actual movies. If possible, can you leave the blurred and muted movie up instead up putting it up every 20 minutes? That would be so helpful to know when I need to pause your videos.

The Dingo

Also tell us before you are pausing the movie? When you pause a movie in the middle and don't tell us, we sometimes go on and have to resync again because the movie is far ahead of the reactions.

I like that Tony is kinda mentor and father figure to peter really since he doesn't have a dad or Uncle ben but Tony could have listened to peter more like you recruit the kid to help you fight Cap and then nothing ? Granted Peter still has much more to learn he's only been spiderman in this world for a few months not years like the other spiderman films have done where he's older

Peter has super strength with or without his suit due to being bit by a radioactive spider. The film doesn't really touch on that fact much.

I think some people see the web shooters and think "Hey so does this Peter Parker not have his Spider Powers". Alot of people grew up on the the Sam Rami Spider-Man films and assumed that the organic web-shooters are comic accurate and just something Peter always had. So when they introduced Peter Parker in the MCU with an upgraded suit and physical web-shooters people who've only seen the Rami movies and don't really know much about Spider-Man could've assumed that the MCU's Peters powers come from the suit which enhances his physical strength etc. That's my guess at least, Tony even shows a hologram video of Peter catching a moving car in his homemade suit in Civil War. I can't blame people for missing stuff like this if they're new to Spider-Man. Peter also holds back alot so his full strength has never really been shown in live action.

A few weeks ago she mentioned about removing the blurred copy and I don't think she will be going back to it. The compromise was to show the movie every 10 mins and after watching this timed reaction to the movie, i found that after 10 mins, her copy was about half a second faster than mine and it was easy enough to pause her reaction for tiny bit in order to get in synced up to the movie.

The Dingo

Thanks I just started following her. That's unfortunate though. Mine if off more than half a decid every 10 minutes.
