I think the "point" of the last episode, was as you say to show how the Empire is ruining the planet, but ALSO to show how the Rebels are inspiring people to be their better selves, like Vizago.

i've actually only started thinking about this today! it was tough to think about but i'm thinking "the sandman." mainly because i'm looking for a show with shorter episodes since mando and daredevil average an hour long, i don't think i have time for another show that consistently does an hour as well
