yeah that was a portrait of Satine! Maul is really twisted, considering he killed her with that same Mandalorian lightsaber. Satine is important to him in some way because of his obsession with Kenobi. Even killing her was not enough hurt he caused her, but he IS getting reminded of that moment which in a weird twisted way for sure gives him lots of serotonin. Maul has had the darksaber ever since he defeated Pre Viszla. Also recently you found out that by The Mandalorian, the darksaber is now in posession of Moff Gideon, and so there's still a lot of unfilled gaps in its journey, even for us.
