No one knows what race Yoda is...it's left intentionally mysterious

There are some strange Star Wars theories, that i.e. this Baby Yoda was created by the light side of the force as balance to the birth of Anakin that could be created by the dark side at, almost, the same moment (yes, Baby Yoda is around 50 years old now). So it is not really a 'race' but 'an outing' of the 'pure' light side of the force and that is why only 3 examples are know until now (Yoda, Yaddle, and this baby).
