So that beefy security guard is a pretty cool Easter egg. His name is Lou Ferrigno, a pro bodybuilder and the OG Incredible Hulk. I believe he also voices the Hulk. This man was the Hulk before the Hulk became CGI.

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

The origin story of the Hulk featured in this film pulls heavily from Earth-1610 (Ultimate Universe) but puts their own spin on it that connects it to Earth-616 as well. The Ultimate Universe origin has Bruce Banner being commissioned by Nick Fury to recreate the Super Solider Serum which didn't work as planned and instead turned Banner into the Hulk. Visually the MCU Hulk looks like his Earth-616 (Main Marvel Universe) counterpart as the Ultimate Hulk was very different having Gray skin instead of Green with a few other changes as well to his character. Little Info on the Universe: Earth-616 is the mainline Marvel comic universe that began all the way back in 1938/9 and is still going to this day. Pretty much where 90% of Marvel comics take place with many of it's classic hero's taking place in the 1960s yet over the decades they've modernized and grown. Oddly enough they don't seem to age that much in real time for example Spider-Man was born in the 1950s but by stories like Civil War which is set in the 2000s he's only in his 20s. So the hero's don't really age in real time, could be a lore reason I'm not sure There is an amazing Spider-Man graphic Novel called Spider-Man Life Story that tells he story of Peter Parker but in real time. Set over decades we see Peter and other hero's getting old from the 1960s all the way up to the 2010s I believe. Fun read if you want to dive into Spider-Man. The Ultimate Universe summed up is a modern reimagine of Marvel superhero's bringing there origin stories into the 2000s starting with Ultimate Spider-Man set in 2000. It was a way for Marvel go to back to the golden age showcasing these hero's young again an change some things around to update the stories while also changing nothing in the main universe of Earth-616. Some changes were small while others were pretty large, not everything worked but some stuff like the Ultimate Spider-Man run were amazing. MCU Origin: The MCU Banner Is also trying to recreate the Super Solider serum but instead of Nick Fury it's Ross hoping to recreate it. This fails, and the exposure to the gamma radiation causes Banner to transform into the Hulk. They pretty much pulled the Super Solider aspect from Ultimate Universe and then exposure to Gamma radiation from Earth-616. We don't really see his origin in this film but that's the general backstory we're given in this film. Earth-616 Origin: Earth-616 Bruce was recruited by General Ross to create the first Gamma Bomb. But unfortunately Bruce was bombarded with a massive dose of gamma rays while saving Rick Jones, a kid who was out on the test site. A Gamma bomb is pretty much a nuke with extreme amounts of Gamma radiation fitting the whole 1960s Cold War setting of the original comic origins. Overall it's a fun film that gets overlooked as not canonical even though it's 100% canon to the MCU even with the recasting of Bruce.

Sounds like you know literally nothing about the Hulk before this movie, which I find surprising! I see how this movie can be confusing then.

And like you said in the video, its really best not to skip any MCU movies. One of the times where your audience steered you wrong.
