The thing I love about Rebels is how episodes that may seem like Filler episodes will always come back in the end such as returning to a location to making reference to an object or event from the past. That's why I always recommend everyone to watch every episode of Rebels as there much more connected together than Clone Wars with each giving more character development. Kanan was fourteen years old in Bad Batch. Ezra was born in 19 BBY born of the same day the Empire was formed. By the time of Rebels Season 1 Ezra is 14 years of age and by the time of A New Hope he would've been around 19 same age as Luke and Leia who are also born in 19 BBY. So pretty much when trying to think of Ezra's age just picture how old Luke and Leia are in the films. Yoda is voiced by Frank Oz who was both the voice of Yoda in the original Trilogy and his puppeteer. In this episode he speaks closer to how Yoda talks in the original trilogy than the prequals. The Lothal Jedi Temple and its surrounding landscape is heavily inspired by Concept art by Ralph McQuarrie's for A New Hope. Pretty much everything on Lothal is pulled from Ralph McQuarrie's unused art work for A New Hope. You can even find a bunch of real life concept art by McQuarrie on walls around Lothal so if you see a painting on a wall it's no doubt art by Ralph McQuarrie. I know alot of people point out the thin lightsabers. These are just a artistic choose inspired by the depiction of Lightsabers in Ralph McQuarrie's original art work. No lore in universe reason for why they're much thinner looking than what we see in the prequals or Clone Wars. I guess you could look at Rebels as the the show being drawn by Sabine Wren so we the audience are just watching an animated retelling of these events in her art style. Like Sabine created an in universe animated series retelling the story of the Ghost Crew to inspire children and young teenagers. That's my theory anyways lol Cannot wait for Season 3 the most but all the seasons have some amazing stories, Actually think Rebels is much easier to get through compared to early Seasons of Clone Wars.

It's pretty crazy how you caught on to the Lightsaber combat looking like fencing, because Rebels was done specifically in more of a fencing style of saber fighting.

i did fencing in high school! so i think that's why i noticed it! that's cool that i was right!

Fencing AND always calling plot points correctly, maybe you are a jedi 😂
