There’s a comic book series called “Darth Maul- Son of Dathomir” that fills in a lot of what happens with Maul and Palpatine after their fight. I know reading an entire comic book series might not be something you have time for but it might be worth it to look up a summary online or something like that just to have a better understanding of what’s going on in future episodes.
