I feel kinda bad that all I have to offer you for previews are upsetting things, but...all I can say is I won't drag this scene out any longer than we need to tell the story! I think it's important to show what Malthus did to his own brother, because it sets the stage for how Al reacts in later scenes and I want readers to feel where he's coming from, if that makes sense.
