some design stuff i've been working on!

i decided to revisit some spyro faun designs from reignited-hype-era 2018 that i drew but never colored back then. she is the first of three! this is the old art of them from september 2018:

with this first gal, i totally overhauled her design but tried keeping a similar feel. i shortened her top, lengthened her tail, and changed her horns. i liked the heart horns in theory, but in practice they were a little awkward to draw. they all look pretty different now, particularly the first two! i've only just started sketching the short hair faun but you'll see her soon

the third faun has appeared in a lot of posts of mine since making her because i got really attached and spent a lot of time tuning her aesthetic. now i'm pretty sure she's a vampire or demon asdfsadf here's some older doodles of her:

....then there's the scribbles from very late in last night of some from-memory cartoon interpretation of repo! the genetic opera characters. if you know what that is, yes, i drew THAT... it is truly a garbage film but my high school self would be happy to see me begrudgingly drawing fanart of it to the soundtrack in my off hours. to be honest? i really had fun drawing these and trying to reimagine the universe and how i might have handled some of the story elements. i might actually revisit this concept and develop these designs (and others) from reference and strike a balance
also i gave mag a black rose tattoo with a surreptitious M under it and that M doesn't stand for mag. she was in love with marnie, fight me about it
