I hate that "natives couldn't see the tall ships" story that Holden tells near the beginning of Episode 12. It's not an important part of the plot or anything, but I hate that they included it because it's just not true. It's stupid and apocryphal and racist and easily debunked with about 5 minutes of research. This show is usually so well researched, so that bit is way out of place. Especially in an episode which has the "52" scene, one of the best things this show has done. I guess we can excuse it because Holden was in full Ahab mode, so he wasn't thinking clearly. But it really annoyed me (as most people who have seen me comment in other reactions probably know by now, since I bring it up almost every time LOL). The audio sounded fine. Your coughing came through clear as a bell :). Hope you're feeling better!

Sorry you've been sick 😕It's so easy to get sick with kids, or when you're stressed, or the weather changing abruptly. Take care of yourself. I'm happy whenever they (the reactions) come :) Wes Chatham is definitely beefed the fuck out. The scene with Naomi and Chompa and all the refugees trying to leave Ganymede is among for my favorites in the show. Brings tears to my eyes every time. 💓

The audio seemed good to me. The season 2 finale is not the end of book 2 by the way, so if it felt like a cliffhanger that's why. Errinwright is such a good villain, I felt bad for him for a little bit, then he realizes a solution for himself and it's back to being a bad guy. And the scene where all the belters just decide who gets to escape and who stays behind is so sad but so powerful. And yes Wes Chatham is awesome. He has a youtube show called "Ty and that guy" where he basically just chats with one of the expanse authors Ty Franck about all sorts of movies and tv and sci-fi and they interview people. It's a fun show.

I got sick more (e.g., more colds) when my kids were young. Now that my kids have left home, I rarely get sick. I didn't get as emotional as others in watching these two episodes. Maybe because it was late last night when watching the episodes and I was somewhat incoherent. The Belter death rate is a sad aspect of this series that gets to me.

There are some really fantastic small characters throughout the show, both in writing and acting. The guy organizing the evacuation of the 52 is great, and a character I’ve been looking forward to you coming across (bigger role but still relatively minor character) is coming up in a few episodes early next season. The show deals with some very dark themes, but it also has a core of real optimism about humanity.
